Microphone Gain & Sensitivity are NOT the same.
Microphone gain is often confused for sensitivity, let's debunk this. 🎵 EpidemicSound 30 Day Trial: www.epidemicsound.com/referral/so5l0u/

Very useful content. Thank you sir.
What are your VST settings? do you use it on USB or Interface?
10:34 I'm using MIDI back and forth with forScore and Helix these days. I use buttons on the scores to change the patch on my Helix. I've also designated a Helix switch to do page turn on forScore, and another switch to start playback. Let me know if you would like an idea on how I did this.
MAONO PD200X is better

you should’ve used a hard limiter to compensate for the difference in peaks and then did a normalization. Otherwise it’s very difficult to make a comparison because there’s just too much volume variation between them.
Hard limiting then normalizing would leave large fluctuations in rms and average loudness. I matched them on short term LUFS which is a cleaner method that has less degradation on the audio.
Thanks for that video. Very helpful ! How ever, i still have a doubt. I have the same setup as you, Mac and Ipad, but once you have choose "Prefer device versions" for the Ipad and "Icloud version" for the Mac, once the files are upload to the Mac, do you leave the Ipad on the setting "Prefer device versions" ? Cause usually i do corrections, setup and a few things on the Mac that end up in the Ipad, but with that setup, i afraid the the Ipad will compare his version with the Icloud, where the Mac is synching and will ignore, or worst, will replace that work i did on the Mac. What do you think ? am i clear enough ? I had problems with that with the early version of that sync system of ForScore. Thanks in advance
excellent
Thanks!
You can connect mixer to a remote speaker wirelessly . Just like they do with the Sennheiser equivalent of this . Which is the sennheiser ENG G4 with two transmitter one looks like the receiver and the other one is a plug on mic transmitter . The advantage the sennheiser has though is the distance it transmits is 100 metres . So lot of DJ’s use it for remote speaker for wedding events
I really liked but I´m afraid it´s gonna turn out like my nezxt capsule mic :(
2 and 4 sound crispiest n cleanest
I know this video is old but I just got gifted a blue yeti from someone who got a better condenser mic and if you know what your doing you can make it sound amazing (I am a sound technician)
Totally! Ain’t nothing wrong with that 👌🏻👌🏻
You should included the price also
Links in the description :)
Are you able to print pieces out once you buy them
Just made it to the end. Thanks for the video.

how about space? there are enough space for a guitarrist?
Totally! I wouldn’t go much smaller than this unit though. It would get cozy quickly
@@randyrektor thanks you!
does the usb connected to the pc only offers 720p quality?
Yes 720 via micro usb, 1080 and 4K via HDMI capture card.
Great info! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for tuning in :)
Just got a used one for $300. Black Version. I'm in love with the sound.
Dang what a steal! Always been jealous of the black model. Enjoy!
Thanks for the review.
Any time!

What a shame this noise... Anyone in the whole life ,once reached a Razer support?
Honestly, I feel like it may be a waste of my time. They are a computer company, not an audio company. I imagine their audio quality is extremely low in their priority lists. Who knows hahah

What size is the pop filter? Any amazon link you can share? Thanks
The one thats on it comes with it :) Hope this helps!
for the same price as the baseplate you can get a package with both the mic and a boom arm
You mention the unit has 1528 dB of dynamic range. In the specs, it shows A/D Converters:142 dB, D/A Converters: 115 of dynamic range. Where are you getting 1528 dB?
I got this data from a video on their website. It’s essentially 1500 available on a floating scale. The beauty of 32bit floating point.
2nd one
I like that A LOT - and can't lie, the aesthetics are SLEEK and I would go with this over the others for the curves..mmmmm
Hahahaha this man knows his way around a mic. 🙏🏻😂🙌🏻
Can I connect it to an iPhone in any way? Im doing standup and shooting my videos with my iPhone so I would like to buy a mic like this that also can recored audio to my iPhone…
You'll need some sort of interface to get the audio into your phone. There are some devices out there that do this!
@@randyrektor oh that’s great…u can maybe tell me what should I look for? I mean what to search on google
This is very helpful and cool. Thank you for doing this.
Glad it was helpful!
Are you still busy in VO?
She's very busy! Working full time but taking some time off soon for our second baby.
is the rode psa1 microphone stand compatible with this mic?
Should be! This mic comes with a standard microphone thread, as well as the smaller thread adapter, so you should be all set!
can i connect mic direct to pc or mobile?
You would need some sort of an interface to do so. I would suggest checking out a mic that can do both USB and XLR. Something like the Hollyland PM1 or Fifine K688
I’ve been comparing the at2040usb-X and k688 but I don’t get to conclusions to which is better to buy so can you tell me witch is better?
I don't have much experience with the 2040, but I will say the K688 sounds nice, although the handling noise is very annoying. The build isn't near what you'd get with AudioTechnica in my opinion -but it sounds good!
@@randyrektor thank you so much with the reply! During a research I found a software that reject all white noise so I change my mind to condenser Mike called at2020usb-X but still thank you for the opinion!
@@Rshidayocan you tell me the name of the software?
I wish they made every kids bedrooms like this 😂
Hahaha the amount of sleepless night we had with our little guy… I hear you lol
1st one
I bought this microphone and I realized that it sounds with a boost in the low frequencies and it sounds with a kind of emptiness. Apart from the fact that it has low volume, I want to think that mine is damaged.
Yeah that's interesting. It sounds like it may be a damage issue for sure!
What’s their price range? And which is one is the best bank for your buck
i got this years ago for 50bucks as a gift, when did it go to 100?
Took your advice and got myself an AT2020USB+, hearing the sieren at the end just reminded me of a radiation Geiger counter HAHA
Hahaha that's so accurate lol!
Nice shootout. I'd like to point out that the least expensive mike made it to the top 6 and is a decent intro mike for someone just getting into VO. Of course the best mike is going to vary for each person depending on the qualities of their voice. Synco really did deliver a decent mike at a great price.
Good point! This is a great reminder for people getting started!
Though in your previous video of comparing mkh-50 which is small pencil condenser vs AKGP420 which is large diaphragm - you came to conclusion that AKGP420 was more detailed, punchy and sharp vs more natural mkh50. So, I guess its not necessarily always the case, you are mentioning here, right?
Ahh yes, so a couple of things to touch on here. It's important to note that accuracy and apparent brightness in the top end are two different things. While the P420 feels bright -I believe I said "The P420 has more bite and may be a little more shrill", the MKH50 is still a MUCH more accurate reproduction of the sound. The main point is that SDCs are generally far more accurate in the way they capture sound, whereas LDCs have much more distortion, sometimes good, sometimes bad. Check out the Earthworks reference mics. They have tiny little diaphragms and are known for being the closest to a flat response. Super cool tech!
@@randyrektor wow, I checked earthworks mics and they are... strange at least to those who are seeing them first time. Why I'm asking cause I'm trying to understand actually do i need to buy LDC mic, cause I already bought mkh50 and it sounds amazing and warm to my ears. But with LDC does it brings actually more details or as you've mentioned - its just more distortion (and kind of individual eq of the mic)? For instance JZ11 mic. Maaan, there are so many nuances to the sound, trying to wrap my head around it. Thanks for explanation! appreciate it
@@andriibudim6996 Yeah so generally LDCs capture less detailed information. Each mic still has it's own nuances. Some may be brighter, some darker, some punchier, etc. But generally speaking, SDCs capture sound more accurately because of the speed of the diaphragm. All this to say, the MKH50 is an amazing tool. I'd try out some LDCs if you're interested and use your ears to see what's right for you. It's really the only way to know. Hope this helps!
Wow
Great shootout, thanks for sharing it. My favourite was the C414. I found it more full bodied than the rest. Can I ask what polar pattern you had selected?
Thank you! Yes of course, they were all cardioid -with the exception of the shotguns which are super card and hyper card.
@@randyrektor Cheers, thanks for clarifying Randy.
That’s pretty impressive ❤
Cool
You just got a new sub with your wife's joke! She is adorable so is your video. I am getting a pre-owned Rode NTG3 for 500 CAD. Seems like an absolute steal. Please let me know if you have any tips for what to look into in a pre-owned mic
Shure movemic sounds best for me
Can you use this mic with Blackmagic camera app or DJI Mimo app ? Good video 👍
Thank you! Because of the processing involved, it only connects to its own apps unfortunately
@@randyrektor thanks for the reply
